Pakistan’s IT service exports reached $1.864 billion in the first half of the 2024-25 fiscal year, reflecting a 28.04% rise from $1.455 billion during the same period the previous year. This growth underscores the increasing significance of Pakistan’s IT industry in international markets.
Revenue from computer services climbed by 34.54%, totaling $1.581 billion, with software consultancy exports rising by 35.73% to $549.9 million. While earnings from hardware consultancy and computer software slightly declined, other computer services experienced a significant 61.04% boost.
Meanwhile, information service exports saw an extraordinary 746.93% surge, reaching $14.87 million. News agency services were the primary driver of this growth, skyrocketing by 1240.84%, highlighting Pakistan’s growing presence in the global digital and media landscape.
