Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed authorities to implement a minimum monthly wage of Rs37,000 for all workers across the province. She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening labour rights and ensuring financial security for the workforce.
In a special meeting, the CM approved several key welfare projects, including the development of labour colonies and enhancements in healthcare services. Among the initiatives are the launch of Maryam Nawaz Wellness Centres, the construction of a 200-bed cardiology facility in Lahore, and a 50-bed hospital in Rahim Yar Khan.
The Punjab government is focused on improving worker welfare through fair wages, better working conditions, and accessible healthcare. A detailed plan will be formulated to ensure the successful execution of these measures.
