Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has underscored the competitiveness of Pakistan’s IT workforce in the global market. He reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting the industry, aiming to increase IT exports to $25 billion.
During a meeting with Afiniti CEO Jerome Kapelus, the Prime Minister welcomed further investment in Pakistan’s IT sector and proposed establishing a top-tier call center to cater to both national and international clients. The US delegation commended Pakistani IT professionals for their skill and dedication.
Kapelus recognized Pakistan’s IT sector as a promising investment avenue, noting that Afiniti Pakistan already employs over 1,000 skilled professionals. He also highlighted the immense potential of young talent in driving the industry’s future growth.
