The final match, played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Australia, saw Pakistan setting a target of 250 runs, finishing at 249/6 in 50 overs, with Imran Khan leading the charge with 72 runs.
In response, England was dismissed for 227 runs, giving Pakistan a memorable 22-run victory. Wasim Akram’s all-round brilliance, including three crucial wickets and a 33-run knock, earned him the Player of the Match award.
This iconic triumph remains one of Pakistan’s greatest achievements in cricket history.
