Pakistan’s Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) is set to launch the country’s first hyperspectral satellite (HS-1) on October 19 from China’s Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre. The launch marks a major milestone in Pakistan’s space technology advancement, enabling high-resolution data for agriculture, disaster management, and urban development. Equipped with advanced sensors, HS-1 will help detect environmental changes, enhance crop yield, and support sustainable city planning.
The mission aligns with SUPARCO’s Vision 2047, aiming to strengthen Pakistan’s space infrastructure and boost national development through innovation and science.
