As Ramadan approaches in less than a week, Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has revised its gas supply schedule for the holy month, with possible adjustments due to load-shedding.
SSGC announced that gas will be provided to consumers during specific hours: from 3:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. for Sahar and from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. for Iftar during Ramadan. Consumers in Sindh and Balochistan will have gas available for essential needs for 13 hours.
In a related development, Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah has instructed electricity distribution companies to avoid load-shedding during Sahar and Iftar times. This directive came during a meeting chaired by the chief minister to discuss price control measures for Ramadan.
During the meeting, attended by officials including Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab, the chief secretary, and the IG Police, Murad Ali Shah stressed the importance of uninterrupted electricity supply throughout the province during Ramadan. He specifically directed K-Electric, HESCO, and SEPCO to ensure stable electricity supply during the holy month.
